I got done with soccer practice today and one of my players says, “Have a good Easter.”
Two videos that have changed Easter for me. I hope you enjoy.
It’s Friday…but Sunday’s Coming
The second one is at the end.
Ok…so, Sunday’s coming. Everyone in the evangelical world is stoked about it. Also, folks with kids are excited about the Easter egg hunts and such.
There are facilities everywhere that are getting revved up for Sunday…because its coming. There will be folks who haven’t stepped into these facilities all year. Ok, perhaps Christmas.
But Easter…for some reason, this is a big day in the life of these facilities.
Big ensembles are put together. Ads are taken out of newspapers for disseminating info to the populations around these facilities. Unique opportunities are offered…in ways that haven’t been regularly offered to folks.
I have been in some of these planning meetings. There are conversations about how to make these unique opportunities available and relevant.
Because Sunday’s coming.
So, when you’re getting ready for Sunday, because it’s coming, I hope you realize…
Monday’s coming.
When we realize that Monday’s coming, perhaps Easter changes a little. Easter isn’t just about bunnies.
When my player told me to have a good Easter, I said, “I don’t celebrate Easter.”
He said, “What?”
I then challenged him to live Easter past Sunday.
Because Monday’s coming.
And what’s really cool, that’s when the Holy Spirit can live through you and Christ can be exalted in your life and in the life of those around you.
You see, because He wants you to know that you are resurrected as well. He has a Monday for you and those around you…and a Tuesday…and an eternity.
So, Who is this focus of Easter? The subject of the second video that changed the way I see Easter.
That’s My King – S.M. Lockridge
And if you want to hear and view something a little edgier…this is a more graphic and edgier version of S.M. Lockridge’s voice over.
And, don’t feel like you have to celebrate Easter. Live Christ.
