Keynote Speaker

When I hear the word “keynote” I immediately think of . . .

Steve Jobs, the mac-daddy of the mac!

And of course, the mac program, Keynote. It’s kinda of like Microsoft Powerpoint…except for Mac of course…among other things.

But the true ID of a keynote is a speaker, right? You know, Steve Jobs in front of his Apple folks and the media, leading them through the next up-and-coming feature from his arsenal of Apple products.

Keynote.

The leader.

The focus.

The presenter.

Or is it more than that?

Is the key note that thing that starts the song… like in Pitch Perfect with the Barden Bellas:

Or is it more than that?

Wikipedia says that a keynote is this:

The keynote lays the framework for the following programme of events or convention agenda; frequently the role of keynote speaker will include the role of convention moderator.

Applying this to our everyday lives, an interesting question would be…

Who is your keynote?

Who lays your framework? Who moderates your life?

Not that you need a keynote, but, like in Pitch Perfect…if you are off the keynote, you affect the song. It changes from it’s potential. It becomes something else.

Perhaps the keynote for you is available because there is an expression you are able to participate in. Perhaps the keynote for you will help you find your purpose in the midst of your circumstance.

So, who is your keynote?

And remember, just because there is a keynote, it doesn’t necessarily mean the ending is predictable.

The keynote is only the beginning of the experience. Once your keynote is found, the Life experienced from that starting point will bring Life to others as the chorus is shared with them.

I hadn’t thought of “keynote” before, in terms of the 1st note in a song for everyone to get in-tune with. Good stuff, bro. I was thinking that Jesus is THE Keynote at the time that we get born again, and morning time with Him and many, many other times with bros/sis help us to get re-tuned back into Him throughout the course of days & our lives.

Yeah Trevor. The Lord is THE Keynote. Being re-tuned to His music through our brothers and sisters is a great gift.
