DAY 16

Major Cause of Failure Number 16:

Over-caution. The person who takes no chances generally has to take whatever is left when others are through choosing. Over-caution is as bad as under-caution. Life itself is filled with the element of chance.

– Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

Wait a second. Let me think about it. Well, what if…? Oh, I don’t know…

Are these phrases part of your thought processes? Have you noticed that when someone offers you that opportunity and those questions roam through your mind…there isn’t much left…maybe some dust and collateral gains, but the massive opportunity, again, has moved on. #31WarningSigns

When I come to intersections when I am merging into traffic I like seeing yield signs. If you’ve ever been to a city where there are stop signs where you are supposed to merge, their Debbie Downers.

Yield means you get to keep moving with a pertinent amount of caution. But you don’t have to stop those wheels. Use your mirrors as you accelerate in the on ramp. And you’re in!

May we merge into success by yielding to caution, but not stopping. Life has chance for us. Chance to prosper. Chance to grow. Chance to improve. Chance to win. Chance to love. Chance to build. Chance to…fill in the blank with your New Year’s Resolution.

Check your mirrors.

Step on the gas pedal.

Yield has another meaning too.

On with your day people! And remember…

Go. Grow. Give.
