DAY 17

Major Cause of Failure Number 17:

Wrong selection of associates in business. This is one of the most common failures in business. In marketing personal services, one should use great care to select an employer who will be an inspiration, and who is, himself, intelligent and successful. We emulate those with whom we associate most closely. Pick an employer worth emulating.

– Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

I think I’ve got enough of these stories with jobs I’ve taken. It looks good from the outside, but I wasn’t aware of this employer’s intelligence and successfulness and confidence. It has bit me a few times. I’ve had to use Neosporin to help heal those bites so that scars don’t stay around. #31WarningSigns

Working with someone I can emulate is such a pleasure. It clears space to be able to grow and achieve, as opposed to looking over my shoulder. Not sure if you all can relate with that, but if you have the chance to gain info on potential associates before connecting long term with them, I would highly recommend it.

I truly believe they will be FOR you to achieve your New Year’s Resolutions. Keep after them! Bring those associates along with you to gain success quicker!

On with your day people! And remember…

Go. Grow. Give.
