Those pesky associates. We learned yesterday about aligning with the right folks. Did you evaluate your relationships? Perhaps you needed to have a conversation or two? Today, we are going to to be digging in to another controversial subject…

So on to the next of the 31 Warning Signs. What do you need to be watching out for as you are attacking your New Year’s Resolutions this year? #31WarningSigns

DAY 18

Major Cause of Failure Number 18:

Superstition and prejudice. Superstition is a form of fear. It is also a sign of ignorance. Men who succeed keep open minds and are afraid of nothing.

Some times we get locked into a rhythm. We HAVE to perform a certain rhythm because we always have. Or we see a certain people group and have had a certain experience, therefore we push those results on everyone else associated with that people group.

That is very limiting. #31WarningSigns

In memory of Martin Luther King Jr., may we be reminded of his famous dream that can be ours as we attack our New Year’s Resolutions.

In a sense we’ve come to our nation’s capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the “unalienable Rights” of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

So how about it. What Life are you pursuing? What Liberty are you fighting for? What Happiness are you making sure comes to your door? Is it layered in your New Year’s Resolutions? Review them. Bring them up to speed. We’ve crossed over the middle of the month and it is a downhill ride.
