Warning Signs for the New Year: January 27

Power. If only it came from a button. But that was yesterday’s topic. Today I am going to try to be a little honest with you…

So let’s get to the next of the 31 Warning Signs. What do you need to be watching out for as you are attacking your New Year’s Resolutions this year? #31WarningSigns

DAY 27

Major Cause of Failure Number 27:

Intentional dishonesty. There is no substitute for honesty. One may be temporarily dishonest by force of circumstances over which one has no control, without permanent damage. But, there is no hope for the person who is dishonest by choice. Sooner or later, his deeds will catch up with him, and he will pay by loss of reputation, and perhaps even loss of liberty.

– Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

Sometimes, we don’t see it coming…but sometimes we do. We manipulate a certain situation for a desired goal that actually is more about me than about anything else.

Success does not live here. Losing one’s reputation is an ugly journey for those who have seen it. And for those who have lost liberty, I believe they would say it is not worth it. #31WarningSigns

There are always those opportunities to cut corners. It starts when we’re young and in gym class. The coach says to run around the baseball field. We find ways to cut corners so that our exertion isn’t maximized. We get to stay in the comfort zone.

That initial deception can begin to build negative character when it comes to working towards our New Year’s Resolutions as adults.

Don’t cut corners.

The entire lap will tell you where you truly are so that you can truly have success. “Success” after cutting corners is only intentional dishonesty.

On with your day people! And remember…

Go. Grow. Give.

Good word bro. I’m standing firm on the eternal truth of seedtime-and-harvest, and that in the Lord’s timing, there will be an abundance of harvest gathered on both the side of righteousness (through grace by faith) and evil.
