Warning Signs for the New Year: January 29

Captain Obvious paid us a visit yesterday. You’d think he’d be a little less egotistical based off of yesterday’s post. I guess we all have something to work on! Let’s dig in deep! Only three days left in the month. We’re doing great!

On to the next of the 31 Warning Signs. What do you need to be watching out for as you are attacking your New Year’s Resolutions this year? #31WarningSigns

DAY 29

Major Cause of Failure Number 29:

Guessing instead of thinking. Most people are too indifferent or lazy to acquire facts with which to think accurately. They prefer to act on “opinions” created by guesswork or snap-judgements.

– Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

I spoke with a friend recently. He mentioned how he was headed hard after something. He wanted people to join his journey and change the world! We got to talking about how walking towards a direction a couple of degrees off at the beginning completely changes the destination. Sometimes the ladder, unbeknownst to us, is leading agains the wrong ladder. Because we guessed. #31WarningSigns

That reminds me of this principle by Mr. Hill. It is so important to acquire those facts that will help us think more accurately. Guessing is for multiple-choice algebra exams. And we all know what the answer is. C!!

Do you need to recalibrate? Do it! Tighten up the journey. Continue. Tweak and improve your steps. January is almost over.

On with your day people! And remember…

Go. Grow. Give.
